A whopping 88% of all consumers are reading online reviews of a business before reaching out to them.
That’s 9 out of 10 people!
That means if you have no online reviews you are kind of hoping that the prospective client asks a neighbor about your business and they can vouch for you.
If not, a lot of people will move on to research the next viable option for a pet sitter or a dog walker.
Because let’s face it, in 2017 virtually everyone has an opinion about everything and anything and is ready to shout it from the rooftops.
Just check out the Infographic I have created for you Lovelies below with all the striking numbers.
1. 92% would use a Business with a 4 Star rating.
This number proves that even if you have one or two miserable review or some so-so reviews, you will still fare really well with most of your prospective clients if of course, you have consistently collected reviews. In fact, a lot of consumers find a business that has mixed set of review ratings more believable.
But let’s let this number really sink in.
MORE than 9 out of 10 or
90 out of 100 people
would still use your business even if you would “only” have a 4 Star rating.
2. 88% of all consumers check a businesses online reviews before they even contact them
To put that fact in a different alarming light:
88% of all consumers will NOT contact you because your social proof is missing and will rather click on the business listed right below you on google, that has a good collection of reviews to show off.
That’s because people expect other people to have an opinion about a professional business. That’s why I wrote this post on how to rise above the competition.
You are truly hurting yourself, sweetheart, if you are not already convinced to start collection reviews or increasing your effort to collect more on a consistent basis.
3. 9 out of 10 people trust an online review just as much as their loved one telling them you rock
Get on your butt and send out emails asking clients for online reviews. 😉
4. About 7 out of 10 people expect to see more than 5 reviews
Consistency is the key here. Don’t just send out 10 emails all at once asking for a review from your clients, but send it out in batches – scheduling it within your entire Marketing plan.
So here is what to do:
After 4 weeks of service (and of course giving your very best at all times), send out satisfaction surveys via email to your clients asking how satisfied they are with your services provided and if there is anything you could improve on
After an additional 2 weeks and some happy responses send out an email asking for a review on Google, Yelp, Facebook etc. with an easy to access link straight to the review page – the easier the higher the chances you will get a response.
Do that with every new client religiously.
This will not throw any red flags to Google, Yelp, etc because their algorithms find it suspicious when a bunch of reviews come in all at once.
5. Your SEO could be improved by 10% when having a solid review collection
Search engines love, love, love it when a business and website engage at much as possible with their target audience. Reviews are a wonderful engagement tool – it’s worth an amazing 10% in all your SEO efforts!
Looks like a win-win for everyone involved – lure customers in to contact you and with that most likely improve your SEO and Google Ranking by a good bit.
